BUTWAL: A youth was killed in Devdaha Municipality of Rupandehi district on Sunday night.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dil Bahadur Malla at Butwal-based Area Police Office (APO), 20-year-old Anish Puri of Devdaha-5 was attacked and killed by an unidentified group while he was riding on his motorcycle to Bhaluhi from Khaireni on Sunday night.

It is said that Puri was attacked with iron rod and stones. He was rushed to the Devdaha Medical College for treatment where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

The DSP said some suspects have been detained for interrogation in this connection.
