BIRGUNJ: Locals of Parsa district have expressed solidarity with Dr Govinda KC, who is staging 19th hunger strike demanding reforms in medical sector.

Youths staged demonstrations demanding that the government address the issues raised by Dr KC in Birgunj today. The youth also staged a sit-in protest in front of Narayani Hospital for an hour from 10:00 pm to 11: 00 pm this morning.

The demonstrators warned that they would launch a stern protest if the government fails to address Dr KC's demands.

"Dr KC's demands are for the welfare of Nepalis and overall reform in the medical sector. So we urge the concerned stakeholders to express their solidarity with Dr KC," the protesting youths said.

Jaspal Singh, who is leading the protests, urged the government to address the demands put-forth by the Dr KC at the earliest.

During the protest, Nepal Medical Association's Birgunj chapter also expressed solidarity.
