Farah Khan’s multi-starrer song - Deewangi - has become quite the USP of the soon-to-be-released Om Shanti Om . After all it boasts of featuring the top 31 actors of B-wood, right from the present day Khans and Dutts to the yester year heroes like Mithun Chakrabarthy, Dharmendra, Jeetendra....

But director Farah Khan, we learn, had bigger plans. She wanted to have a complete Main Hoon Na segment in OSO . That is to say she had hoped to have Main Hoon Na ’s leading cast Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao and Zayed Khan along with SRK to be featured together in a separate part of the song. Alas, that was not to be, as Amrita Rao, we hear, played spoil sport.

Speaking to Indiatimes Movies Amrita says, “I couldn’t shoot for the song as I was busy shooting for Athidi in Austria. Farah would call me up every time and badly wanted Sushmita, Zayed, Shah Rukh and myself to do a Main Hoon Na sequence but I just could not get out of my schedule.” And Farah went ahead with only Zayed and Shah Rukh where they do their trademark ‘head rubs’ from Main Hoon Na .

Never mind this, Farah tried once again to rope in Amrita for another scene in OSO . Amrita confirms, “Yes, Farah wanted me to appear with Shah Rukh in the end as well which again I missed because I was out of India (again!) at that time.”

So is Rao out of the Khan camp? Not quite. The actress will be a part of SRK’s next production titled My Name is Anthony Gonsalves to be directed by E. Niwas.

Coming back to Om Shanti Om , Farah Khan had approached 34 actors for the song of which 31 obliged. Apart from Amrita, the other two actors who politely declined were Aamir Khan and Dev Anand. Aamir was busy working on his film Ghaijnii , while Dev saab will work only in his own home production ventures.
