KATHMANDU: Members of civil society including Dr. Devendra Raj Pandey, Krishna Pahadi, Shayam Shrestha, and Dr. Sunder Mani Dixit called on President Ram Baran Yadav on Monday.

In an hour long talk civil society members suggested that the President avoid getting involved in the ongoing CoAS Katawal row so that he could be free from any controversy. Talking to reporters members of civil society said the President thanked them for their invaluable advice and assured them about his role and responsibilities as the President.

Meanwhile, the civil society has decided to call for a campaign to press the government and political parties to find a solution to the ongoing political deadlock to enable them to concentrate on the constitution drafting process.
