The incredible ascent of Freida Pinto from anonymity to international fame could be creative fodder for scriptwriters. The pretty damsel from aamchi Mumbai has taken to the ways of Hollywood like a fish takes to water. She’s been appearing on late night shows on American television, has already won nods of approval for her fashion tastes and is even thinking of making New York her home.

While Freida has been sticking to elegant designer gowns for her public appearances in the US, she dresses down to a pullover on the cover of the March 2009 issue of Maxim magazine back home.

The issue, which is yet to hit the stands, has Freida flaunting her bare legs under a pulled-down sweater. The sensuous expression on her face, her downward gaze and her ruffled hair lend a subtle seductiveness to Freida.

Just recently, Freida had posed with a globe on the cover of Vanity Fair.
