Gen Richards in Pokhara for British Gurkha Camp programmes

POKHARA: Visiting British Army Chief General Sir David Julian Richards reached Pokhara on Saturday after his arrival in Nepal for a six-day official visit. General Richards is in Pokhara to attend various programmes organised by the British Gurkha Camp.

He is scheduled to return to Kathmandu and make courtesy calls on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Defence Minister Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Chief of Army Staff Chhatra Man Singh Gurung during his stay in Nepal.

General Richards is the ninth British Army Chief to have visited Nepal.
