Indian Army Chief ends Nepal visit
KATHMANDU: Chief of Indian Army Staff Deepak Kapoor who was in Nepal on a four day official visit on the invitation of Chief of Army Staff Chhatra Man Singh Gurung returned back to India on Friday.
During his visit President Ram Baran Yadav honoured General Kapoor with the title of honorary General of Nepali Àrmy on January 21 during a special function at the President’s office in Shital Newas.
He met with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Defence Minister Bidhya Devi Bhandari and other high level officials during his visit.
He had also visited Pokhara, Mustang, and the training centre of the Nepali Army, Kavre and western division headquarters of Nepal Army.
