NC, UML agree to resume House
KATHMANDU: A meeting held among the top brass of the Nepali Congress and the UML agreed to address the UCPN-Maoist agendas to let the house run its business.
The meeting held at the residence of NC president Girija Prasad Koirala was attended by Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Koirala, UML chairman Jhal Nath Khanal, NC deputy parliamentary party leader Prakash Man Singh, UML general secretary Ishwor Pokhrel, NC general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi and ministers from both the parties. According to political advisor of the PM Raghuji Pant, the meeting agreed to hold talks with the Maoists to clear the political confusion. The trilateral meeting between the big parties-NC, UML and UCPN-Maoist is expected later on in the afternoon.
Minister for Energy Prakash Saran Mahat said that the meeting also dealt with the structure of the upcoming budget.
