Nepal, Gilani discuss trade
SHARM EL SHEIKH: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday met on the sidelines of the NAM summit to discuss matters related to bilateral trade and various other regional issues. In the meeting Nepal and Gilani discussed enhancing economic co-operation through a free trade agreement (FTA) between the two countries. The two discussed the prospects of an FTA between Pakistan and Nepal that came under consideration during Pakistani Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir's recent visit to Nepal. Gilani and Nepal aid the meeting had been important in strengthening bilateral relations in various sectors. "We reviewed the entire gamut of Pak-Nepal relations and agreed to comprehensively upgrade bilateral ties," Gilani said.
