No consensus on NRNA poll
KATHMANDU: The contenders of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) for the post of president Monday have slammed the report that was carried by the media saying that they have reached a consensus for the coveted post. Various media have reported that Ram Pratap Thapa will be the next president of NRNA as the other two contenders-- Bhim Uddas and Dev Man Hirachan agreed on his choice for the post and retreated from the election race. However, Uddas and Hirachan have said that no consensus has been reached for the post and election will be the only option to choose the right person. They have also said that they will be organising a press meet today.
The late night meeting on Sunday which was attended by present NRNA president Upendra Mahato and three NRNA president contenders failed to strike any consensus for the post.
