There is a saying, softness is not weakness. It takes courage to stay kind in this cruel world. Who loves one who is always rude? Some people always try to prove that they are superior and act rude and show their unpleasant attitude. Calm people are loved and appreciated by all. The calm person who is strong is always adored. People always want to be with them and seek their company. They never hurt anyone. They can catalyse themselves into pure water for thirsty travellers, or be a sheltering rock in a storm.

Who does not love a tranquil heart, a sweet-tempered, beautiful and peaceful mind? The mind looks beautiful when it is at peace. It does not matter whether it rains or shines, or what changes and obstacles there are on the way, for they are always sweet and calm. It helps them to dive in the ocean of truth, far from explosive bombs of temper, heavy hearts, crazy minds, loud and hot blood.

There was a friend of mine who always acted rude. He belonged to a rich family and showed his domineering attitude to others. Some people respected him, but due to fear, not from their soul and heart. He thought being soft and kind would make him fragile. He thought he could buy anything and anyone with money. But that did not work. People didn’t like him at all. His rude behaviour made him isolated. Sometimes being soft is mistaken as flirting. Once I was talking to a friend softly and she said “Are you trying me?” Being soft is not always flirting but our intention should be right.

We should try to be kind to everyone. Everyone is fighting their own battles. As you know thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared and helping others. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is wasted. It is painful to get wrapped up in fixing your own life when you forget about helping others. And while it is important to put yourself first sometimes, it is even more important to help others when ever you can. Being generous is not always about altruism. It gives satisfaction to us. There is a saying, “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”

Only the kind people, who are the masters of their thoughts and pure in mind, make the winds and the storms of the soul obey them. They know the price of being kind and helping others. They do not care where the majorities are once they are the rulers of their thoughts.
