Journey within fear
Women are incomplete, unfinished men. In reproduction, a woman is passive and receptive whilst a man is active and productive; for the child inherits only the male characteristics,” claimed Aristotle. Even women of the twenty first century are considered incomplete and unfinished. Are women really incomplete? But I see more possibilities in women than in men although women are cultured in such a way that drives them towards imperfection.
Women have internalized the words of Aristotle which are inherited from their culture. Further, women are more suppressed by their own perspectives than their culture. They think they are weak, passive and only receptive. Neither god nor nature has discriminated against women by giving them less power than to males. Instead nature has gifted women with many possibilities.
There is no doubt that some women are taking the physiological structure of their body as their weakness. By nature women are more powerful than men. It is because women can give new life which is not possible for men. There is no task that a woman is unable to perform. Women are the gifted ones. In short, their strength is their physiological structure.
Similarly, most of the time women are pushed back from the decision-making levels. They are less in number at the executive level in the workplace. Those who are there may hesitate to take decisions. Though many women are efficient, their low self-esteem is making them lag behind. For how long should women be underestimated?
The minds of women are filled with escapism. They like to escape from their duties, responsibilities and opportunities. Often they neglect and remain indifferent which might be the major reason for their backwardness. Knowingly or unknowingly women are letting things go, so that new possibilities never favour them.
Lastly, fear is one of the main obstacles of the progress of women. The fear of failure, the fear of insecurity and the fear of discrimination dominate their mind. I think a journey with fear is full of adventure. This journey within fear brings excitement along with new possibilities that lead towards success. As Rabindranath Tagore claimed, the mind with fear cannot achieve any goal. He meant to say that success is possible where the mind is without fear. To cut a long story short, just a few steps ahead of fear lies success.
