Consensus lacking
The cabinet was expanded the third time Wednesday. This expansion too could not give complete shape to the Nepal led government. The Madheshi alliance is still at bay. This means consensus among the political parties seems to be lacking.
It is a pity that people on
the street had to suffer much hardship Monday for a case of suspected suicide by a Maoist. This behaviour of the Maoists is utterly unacceptable. They should have respect for professionals such as doctors.

Good news
It is an immense pleasure to know that direct flights from Kathmandu to Kunming are going to start very soon. I think we Nepalese will get some advantage both ways. So it is really a fabulous news for us.

Stop bandhs
Making the people suffer is why the Maoists are not getting any sympathy now from the people. The use of bandhs is out of
control. The government must put a stop to this type of protest and teach people to communicate. The loss to Nepal financially with every bandh only hurts those the Maoists say they trying to help by decreasing revenue to the government that could go to helping the backward classes. I wonder, remembering the streets of Kathmandu, how many people died because they could not
get ambulance service during Monday’s bandh and why the government and home minister is not holding the Maoists’ YCL responsible for those deaths. Bandhs do not solve the issue, they enrage the people who are tired of being held hostage and cause more harm to the people.
I do not encourage violence to overcome other violent behavior, but where are the police? Why are the police not performing their duty? The people who are engaging in bandhs are breaking the laws. Do something.

New airport
Direct flights to Kunming is good news, but we need other international airports to be built as soon as possible in other parts of Nepal. It will be a respite from our political leaders and lawmakers who are always wrestling for money and power business, which is very bad and sad for the economy of Nepal. In India people have a choice of different airlines and cheaper tickets. Nepalese coming from abroad have to pay high price for airline tickets, because we do not have any choice.

Salary demand
It is reported that the Civil Servants’ Union affiliated to the UML is demanding a salary hike of 250 %. Trade unions that are affiliated to different political parties have almost killed all the industries in the country and drained a 2.5 million youth force to foreign countries.
I would like to opine that all the Trade unions affiliated to different political parties should be fully dissolved. The condition of service in the public as well as in the private sector should be rigidly governed by the rules of the individual companies at the time of joining the company by the worker. The government should monitor the rules of each individual company and any worker in the private sector or publicsectorshouldseriously study the rigid rules of the company before joining that company. It would be counter productive to the country and the youth to kill the companies by putting new demands that are not clearly included at the time of joining the company. The salaries of the public sector civil servants should not be hiked by squeezing the common people who are not the favored ones to get employment benefits.

Stop violence
I would like to state that violence is in no way is justifiable, especially when it involves the lives of people. If, as the YCLs claim, that Phyual was murdered I totally agree with their demand for a thorough investigation and compenstation. But what about the killings of people in different places that the YCL members are accused of? Do they think that the lives of their cadres are more valuable than that of ordinary people? It is high time that we understand the value of life and stop violence and killings.
