Red-headed Vulture(Sarcogyps calvus) is one of the most beautiful vultures among the Asian Vultures.
Also known as the Asian King Vulture, Red-headed Vulture is a resident bird which can be found around lowland and middle hill regions from east to west of Nepal. It has distinct bare reddish head, neck and feet.
The estimated population of red-headed vulture in Nepal is around 167. It is also listed in Critically Endangered by IUCN.
