RUPANDEHI: Pradip Khadka, Pritam Pariyar, Ritik Rana and Pranav Khanal advanced to the second round of the first Mayor Cup and fifth National Open Lawn Tennis Tournament here at the Devinagar Lawn Tennis Courts on Sunday.
Khadka defeated Ashish Khadka 6-4, 6-4, while Pariyar beat Nishant Shrestha 6-2, 6-4. Rana beat Santosh Khatri 6-4, 6-3, and Khanal outplayed Bishnu Nepali 6-0, 6-1 in the men's singles.
Likewise, Kamal Bhandari, Santosh Khatri, Sanjay Shrestha and Simanta Gurung recorded wins in the above-35 singles category.
Also, Bimal Gurung, Gopi Bhattarai, Madhav Bhandari and Rohit Sunuar won their matches in above-45 section.
