KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 4

Many people across various parts of Nepal celebrated Gai Tihar on the third day of Yamapanchak of Tihar festival today.

Gai (cow), which is considered a sacred animal, is worshipped on this day.

After offering Pooja to cow in the daytime, Laxmi (Goddess of wealth) will be worshipped during the evening of this New Moon night.

People light various sorts of candles to brighten the night and welcome Laxmi to their homes.
