Netherlands beat Nepal by 103 runs

KATHMANDU: Nepal witnessed second consecutive defeat in the four-matchT20 International Series with the Netherlands, at Amstelveen on Wednesday.

While chasing the target of 173 runs, Nepal were restricted to 69 runs in  17.4 overs by the Dutch team. The Netherlands won today's match by 103 runs.

Nepal lost their early wickets very cheaply and were 29/7 in 7.4 overs.

Only three players could score runs in two digits in Nepal's dismal performance today.

Sarad Vesawkar made highest 18 runs in the innings, while Sompal Kami contributed 14 and Gyanendra Malla 12.

Michael Rippon took three Nepali wickets while MB van Schelven and PA van Meekeren sent two players each back to the pavilion. Likewise, Mudassar Bukhari, MAA Jamil and MP O'Dowd took one wicket each.

Nepal get 173-run target from Netherlands in second T20I

KATHMANDU: The Netherlands have posted a target of 173 runs to Nepal in their second match of the T20 International Series being played at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen.

Winning toss, Nepal elected to field.

Michael Swart contributed 76 not out off 59 and Ben Cooper 66 as the Dutch made 172 runs losing four wickets only.

Swart hit eight fours and one six.

Nepal's Sompal Kami took two wickets, while Karan KC and Avinash Karn claimed one each.

Nepal, Netherlands playing second T20I match in Amstelveen

KATHMANDU: Nepal and the Netherlands are playing their second match of the T20 International Series at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen.

Winning toss, Nepal invited the Dutch team to bat first.

The hosts had won the first match by 18 runs yesterday.

Nepal is currently touring in the Netherlands to play the four-match series.
