AC Milan coaches arrive for youth camp

Kathmandu, April 8

Atlantic Sports Management Pvt Ltd is holding the AC Milan Junior Football Camp at the ANFA Complex grounds in Satdobato from April 9-14.

A total of 125 footballers from seven to 17 years will take part in the U-17 camp which will be conducted by five Italy’s AC Milan Club coaches, informed    Atlantic Sports Management’s Managing Director Hari Khadka at a press meet here today.

AC Milan’s technical advisor Daniele Paccagnan as well as AC Milan Academy coaches Davide Corti, Nicholas Fassoli, Paulo Carli and Andrea Nicoli will conduct the camp along with Nepali coaches. “We have done all sorts of preparations for the programme and I believe Nepali footballers will learn techniques, methodologies and Italian football culture from the instructors,” said Khadka.

Atlantic Sports Management’s Chief Executive Officer Ashesh Upreti said the camp would be helpful for creating positive environment in Nepali football fraternity. “We believe the camp will help in producing professional footballers as well as contribute in professionalism of the sport,” said Upreti.

Similarly, AC Milan’s instructor Davide Corti said they would try to teach different ways of solving problems seen during the football game.

“We will try to teach our methods and a different culture as well as something that will be useful for footballers. We will also conduct different types of drills and try to explain different ways of solving the on-field problems,” said Corti, adding that around five players would be invited for football festival in Milan for next season.
