Ace Flyers outplay Soul Ballers

Rajeeb top-scored with 23 points but could not save Soul Ballers from going down 30-49 to Ace Flyers at the second Annual Father Watrin Men’s Basketball Championship, which has been organised by GAA in association with The Himalayan Times today. Dominated in all the first three sets, Soul Ballers bounced back in the last quarter netting 20 points, which included four 3-pointers from Rajeeb, restricting the Flyers to 13 points. The Ballers managed just 10 points in the first three quarters, while the Flyers accumulated 36 points, to put the issue beyond doubt. With just three seconds remaining, Upal scored a three-pointer. In the other match, Rajiv top-scored with 27 points as Kathmandu Don Bosco College beat Ed Mark Academy 65-53. Dipesh Joshi scored 17 points for Ed Mark. Also, Ideal Model School beat Kathmandudes 81-73, in which Mike top-scored with 23 points. Manoj Maharjan netted 19 points for the winners.
