Adidas to sponsor Three Star

Lalitpur, April 8:

Three Star Club today singned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adidas Nepal for the upcoming AFC President’s Cup Football Tournament to be held in Kathmandu from May 4-14.

As per the MoU — signed by Lalit Krishna Shrestha, president of Three Star Club, and Sanjeev Shrestha, managing director of adidas Nepal — adidas has provided football kits worth Rs 5,34,750 to Three Star Club for the high-profile tournament. Three Star Club is taking part in the tournament as national league winners of Nepal along with seven other national champion nations under ‘C’ category of AFC member countries. The kits included track suits, jerseys, socks, bags, boots, t-shirts, bottles, and caps.

Other participants are Transport United (Bhutan), Regar TadAZg (Tajikistan), Tai Power Company (Chinese Taipei), Blue Star Sports Club (Sri Lanka), WAPDA (Pakistan), Dordoi Dynamo (Kyrgyzstan), and Hello United (Cambodia).

At the occasion, Three Star Club also named five new recruits. Rajesh Shahi of MMC, Pralay Rajbhandari of NRT, Anjan KC of Jawalakhel Youth Club, Nirajan Khadka of Friends Club, and Anil Gurung ‘C’ of Pokhara’s Sahara Club.

Sahara Club vice president Bikram Thakali and Three Star Club president Shrestha exchanged the release letter and contract letter of Anil Gurung. Three Star Club has signed Gurung on a one year contract.

Three Star Club treasurer Prajwal Raj Joshi informed that the club has received Rs 6,57, 100 from various individuals for the preparation of the tournament.

CEO of Himalayan Snax and Noodles Pvt Ltd Rabindra Man Shrestha, on behalf of Three Star Club’s main sponsor Mayos Noodles, and president of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Niranjan Rajbansi also expressed their views on the occasion.
