KATHMANDU: Afghanistan Bulls defeated Indian Stars by 19 runs under D/L Method in the Asian Club Premier League here at the TU Stadium on Thursday.

Batting first, the Bulls scored 135-8 in their 20 overs. Gaurav Sharma top scored with 34 off 53 balls, while RN Ul Hassan contributed 13-ball 22. Manish Mor (15), Raghav Bali (14) and Sunil Kumar (14 not out) also scored in double figures for the Bulls.

Sachin Kumar was the pick of the Stars bowlers taking 4-29 from four overs, while Kuldeep Singh, Manjinder Singh and D Chauhan pocketed one wicket each.

In reply, Indian Stars had reached 81-6 in 15 overs before the torrential rain stopped play. Simrat Bawa fought the lone battle for the Indian team with 36 not out. RN Ul Hassan, Rohit Saini and Raghav Bali took two wickets each for the Bulls.— HNS
