ANFA makes final selection for U-14, U-16 teams
KATHAMNDU: All Nepal Football Association has made final selection of players for the Under-14 and Under-16 teams on Friday.
The final list comprises of previous ANFA Academy players and newly selected players from nationwide trials, ANFA said.
ANFA will take care of the football training and formal studies of the 47 players-- 16 in the U-14 team and 31 in the U-16 team.
The U-16 players will be representing Nepal in the upcoming SAFF U-16 Championship after further selection.
Some of the U-14 players, who took part in recently held AFC U-14 Regional Festival of Football in Tajikistan, have been included in the U-16 team.
The final squad was announced after the final phase of selection at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato since yesterday in presence of the ANFA coaches. Though the selection process started in early April, the final selection was delayed due to the April 25 earthquake.
