LALITPUR: Nepal APF Club defeated New Diamond Academy in the final of the Sher Bahadur Memorial National Volleyball Championship here at Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Centre on Friday. APF clinched victory over New Diamond Academy 25-16, 25-11, 25-15 in straight set to take the revenge of their previous loss in Pokhara. APF pursed Rs 50,000, while New Diamond received Rs 35,000. Nepal Police Club finished in the third position with 25-22, 27-25, 17-25, 26-24 victory over Western region and were awarded with Rs 15,000. Saraswoti Chaudhary of APF received the best player award along with Rs 3,000, while Pratibha Mali and Lalita Nath of New Diamond, Binita Budhathoki and Usha Bista of APF and Aruna Shahi of Western received the best spiker, quick spiker, setter, blocker and server awards respectively and pursed Rs 1,500 each.
