ILAM: Nepal APF Club defeated defending champions Rumpum Jhapa 2-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the fourth International Invitational Mai Valley Gold Cup here on Tuesday.

Nabin Lama and Yubraj Khadka scored a goal each for APF, while Bhushan Limbu netted a goal for Jhapa.

Lama opened the scoring for APF in the 53rd minute before Limbu levelled the tally three minutes later.

Khadka restored the lead for APF in the 64th minute.

APF’s Nabin Lama was named the man-of-the-match and he earned Rs 10,000. On Wednesday, Sikkim United will take on Tribhuvan Army Club.
