Army, Sankata Club sign sponsorship deals
Kathmandu, October 31:
Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) and Chaudhary Group, the authorised dealer of LG Electronics in Nepal, today signed an one-year sponsor deal.
Ramesh Shrestha, senior manager at LG, and TAC skipper Janamat Karki, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) while Nirvana Chaudhary, executive director of Chaudhary Group handed over the jersey to Karki at the signing ceremony.
As per the agreement, the LG handed over football gear worth Rs 650,000 to the Army club. The TAC, in return, will use the kits bearing LG logo in national and international tournaments participated in by the club.
Colonel Binod Singh Bista, sports department chief of TAC, and ANFA president Ganesh Thapa were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Sankata Club and The Kathmandu Mall Pvt Ltd also signed a 15-year sponsorship deal today.
As per the agreement, the mall will provide the club Rs 500,000 in cash and Rs 300,000 worth of football kits annually.
Former Sankata Club captain and acting member secretary of the National Sports Council Ajar Manandhar handed over the gear to the club skipper Bikash Singh Chhetry. Narayan Bahadur Karki, managing director of The Kathmandu Mall Pvt Ltd, the newly elected Sankata president Indra Man Tuladhar, and ANFA president Ganesh Thapa were also present at the programme.
