ACC organising Emerging Cup

KATHMANDU: Asian Cricket Council is set to hold the ACC Emerging Teams Cup (50-over) in the United Arab Emirates from March 15-25.

As per the annual calendar of ACC, the tournament will feature Nepal, Afghanistan, hosts UAE and Hong Kong as well as the U-23 or ‘A’ teams from Test playing nations India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. If the tournament is organised on time, Nepal will have just two days to prepare for the competition as they are slated to take on Kenya in the ICC World Cricket League Championship here at the TU Stadium on March 11 and March 13.

As per the calendar, Nepal will also take part in the ACC’s U-16 tournament in Thailand in May and take part in U-19 competition to be organised by Malaysia in September.
