LALITPUR: The Nepal Olympic Committee is organising the Asian Games Run for Fun here on Friday.
Around 600 participants including representatives from Nepal Olympic Committee, Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Council, China-bound athletes, coaches and officials along with students and journalists are expected to take part in the event which will start at Patan Durbar Square and go through Gabahal, Pulchowk, Patan Dhoka, Ashok Hall and Bhimsen Temple, informed the organisers at a press meet on Thursday.
The Hangzhou Asian Games, which was postponed last year due to coronavirus pandemic, is slated for September 23 to October 8. The Run For Fun, which will also have various cultural shows, is an event organised to raise awareness of the Games.
Wang Minghua, Deputy Director of Ceremonies and Events Department, Asian Games and NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha were among the officials present at the press meet.
