Australia 215 all out but no follow-on

LORD’S: England opted against enforcing the following-on after dismissing Australia for 215 in reply to their first innings 425 on the third day of the second Ashes Test at Lord's here on Saturday.

England had a lead of 210 and captain Andrew Strauss could have asked Australia to bat again after they finished 11 runs short of the follow-on avoidance target of 226.

Peter Siddle made a Test-best 35 before he was last man out with England bidding to win their first Test against Australia at Lord's in 75 years.

The five-Test series is level at 0-0.
