KATHMANDU, MARCH 2
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Australian Matt Rose as the head coach of the Nepali Men's National Football Team. The position had been vacant for a significant period after the contract of former coach Vincenzo Alberto Ennis was not renewed.
Ross, a UEFA Pro Licensed Coach, brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed the South Korean Women's National Team and the Swedish Women's Team. His appointment was officially formalized on Sunday in the presence of ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai, who signed the contract on behalf of ANFA.
Ross has been signed on an initial one-year contract and will lead Nepal in his first two matches against Singapore on March 21 and Malaysia on March 25.
ANFA expressed optimism about the new appointment, stating on social media, "We look forward to an exciting journey ahead under his leadership. Welcome Matt!!"
