Team to depart

KATHMANDU: A nine-member badminton team is on Saturday leaving for Indonesia to take part in the BWF World Junior Championships slated for October 16-22 in Yogyakarta.

Praful Maharjan, Pabin Linthep, Rukesh Maharjan, Rashila  Maharjan, Jesica Gurung and Sunaina Mukhiya will compete in the  singles, doubles and mixed doubles events, informed Nepal Badminton  Association President Ramji Bahadur Shrestha.

Team leader Jagat Khadka,  manager Chhabilal Shahi and coach Rajani Maiya Joshi will also  accompany the shuttlers to Indonesia.

Among the players, Praful  Maharjan, Rashila Maharjan and Jesica Gurung will travel to Indonesia  from Myanmar where they are currently competing in the Badminton Asia U-15  and U-17 Junior Championship.
