Baluwatar beat Third Eye

Kathmandu, March 6:

Baluwatar Cricket Club defeated Third Eye Cricket Club by 36 runs in the U-19 Region-3 (Kathmandu) Selection Cricket Tournament today.

Electing to bat first, Baluwatar were all out for 130 run in 26.3 overs. Third Eye were dismissed for 94 runs in 24.2 overs. Sunam Gautam top-scored for Baluwatar with 34 off 43 balls that included three hits to the fence. Dipen Shrestha fired 18-ball 23 while Raj Shrestha contributed 18 runs.

Binod Thapaliya claimed four wickets while Pankaj Khadka took two Third Eye.

In reply, Keshav Thapa scored 22 runs for Third Eye. Robin Maharjan made 15 and Suraj Thapa scored 14runs.

Man of the match Sunam Gautam also did the trick with the ball taking 3-13 in his five overs. Abhaya Rana, Raj Shrestha and Kul Bhusan Tandukar took two wickets each for Baluwatar.

Baluwatar Cricket Academy will take on Yangal Cricket Club in the final on Friday.
