BCC, KCTC in final

KATHMANDU: Baluwatar Cricket Club and Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre advanced to the final of the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cup here on Thursday.

BCC defeated Shantinagar Youth Club by four wickets, while KCTC registered a 41-run victory over Royal PC Fighter in the semi-final matches.

In the first match, Shantinagar scored 147-4 in 20 overs before BCC raced to 150-6 with four balls to spare. BCC’s Sonu Tamang, who scored an unbeaten 56 off just 34, was named the man of the match.

In another match, KCTC posted 163-7 in 20 overs riding on Sumit Maharjan’s half century, and restricted Fighter to 122-9. Man-of-the-match Sanjay Basnet took three wickets and scored 25 runs for KCTC.

The final is on Saturday at the TU Stadium.
