Barca, Real draw
Madrid, March 11:
Lionel Messi scored in injury time to rally FC Barcelona to a 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in the Spanish league.
Messi received Ronaldinho’s pass before darting through defence and firing past Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Both sides scored twice in the opening 28 minutes, with Ruud van Nistelrooy accounting for both of Madrid’s goals, one from a penalty. Sergio Ramos gave Madrid a 3-2 lead in the 73rd minute. Barca played with 10 men after Oleguer Presas was ejected in 45th.
Earlier, Villarreal beat struggling Levante 2-0.
FA Cup
LONDON: Salomon Kalou scored an 86th-minute equaliser to help Chelsea rally for a 3-3 draw against Tottenham in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Tottenham led 3-1 with 19 minutes to go but Frank Lampard scored in the 71st and Kalou made it 3-3. Dimitar Berbatov gave Tottenham the lead in the fifth minute. Lampard levelled in the 22nd, but Tottenham took lead when Essien scored an own-goal in the 29th. Hossam Ghaly made it 3-1 in the 36th.
On Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo converted a second-half penalty to give Manchester United a 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough.
