KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Bhagawati Majhi suffered defeat in the women’s 48kg event of kurash in the fifth Asian Beach Games in Danang, Vietnam on Sunday. Majhi lost her quarter-final match against Parichat Wannapakdee of Thailand. Vietnam’s Tinh Hoang won gold in the category. Majhi, who switched to kurash, had won bronze medal in sambo in the fourth edition of the Games held in Thailand last year. A total of 17 Nepali players from six sports disciplines are competing in the event.
