LALITPUR: Bhuwaneswor Rai won the five-km men’s open running competition on Saturday. Bhuwaneswor won the race in 17 minutes, 14.70 seconds. Aas Narayan Chaudhary and Narendra Bhatta ended up second and third. Likewise, Surya Maya Rai claimed the women’s three-km race, ahead of Krishneswori Sintakala and Bindra Shrestha. Top three winners in the men’s section received Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 while women’s winner earned Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000.
