Kathmandu, January 4:

The top two teams Tribhuvan Army Club and Mahendra Police Club (MPC) resumed the Martyrs Memorial San Miguel League with wins at the Dasharath Stadium.

Bikarna Shrestha scored his third hat-trick of the league and Bishwo Bairag Samal added another as TAC trounced Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) 4-0 while MPC needed Anata Thapa’s goal to edge Saraswoti Youth Club 1-0.

Bikarna put TAC ahead on a pass from Raju Tamang in the 38th minute before adding another two minutes later. He completed his hat-trick scoring on a header following Janamat Karki’s pass in the 48th minute. Bairag completed the rout scoring in the 87th. Bikarna won the Adidas man of the match award. In the second match, Adidas man of the match Ananta Thapa scored in the 45th minute on a cross from Ramesh Budhathoki.
