NRT vice-president Binay Singh Pradhan passes away

KATHMANDU: Senior Vice-president of Kathmandu Khel Mandal (New Road Team) Binay Singh Pradhan passes away last night due to brain hemorrhage.

The 53-year-old former national cricketer died on Sunday night on his way to home from the club. Police took him to the nearby hospital after he fell on the road from the scooter he was driving.

He was later taken to National Trauma Centre where he was declared dead upon arrival. Post mortem reports showed Pradhan had suffered hemmorage.

NRT President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya and other officials from sports fraternity including All Nepal Football Association President Narendra Shrestha paid tribute to Pradhan on the club premises in Tripureshwor.

He is survived by wife and two daughters.
