LALITPUR: Abhilasha Bista won the U-12 girls’ singles title at the first Parents’ Cup Tennis Championship on Thursday. In the final played at the National Tennis Complex, Bista defeated Saloni Tamang 6-1, 7-5.

In boys’ U-12 section, Aadit Subedi beat Aaditya Subedi, while Samyak Bhusan Bajracharya defeated Aryan Giri with the identical scores of 6-1, 6-0. In U-14 category, Pranav Khanal beat Abhinav Acharya, while Aadit Subedi thumped Saharsha Bahadur Chand, while Samrakshyan Bhusan Bajracharya overcame Sakshyam Karki 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 and Pranav Khanal beat Bibek Shrestha 6-2, 6-3 in boys’ U-16 section. In girls’ U-16, Bijisha Shrestha beat Meghavi Giri 6-3, 6-2, while Mahika Rana overcame Ira Rawat 6-4, 5-7, 6-0.

In boys’ U-18, Samrakshyan Bajracharya thrashed Bibek Shrestha 6-3, 6-0 and Sakshyam Karki routed Aakash Lamkhole 6-0, 6-4. In girls’ U-18, Mayanka Rana thrashed Radha Bhujel 8-0 and defeated Bijisha Shrestha 8-5 to make it to the final, while Aakriti Shah beat Swostika Gurung 8-4.
