Kathmandu, June 11:

Bright Horizon Children Home joined Deep Jyoti and Jalpa School in the league stage of the selection tournament for the Coca-Cola Inter-school National Football Tournament here today.

Bright Horizon edged out Gitamata 4-2 in tiebreaker after a 1-1 draw in normal time to claim one of the five berths available for the league stage in the Central Region qualifiers. Nima Sherpa found the equaliser in the 40th minute after Ramesh Poddar provided Gitamata the lead in the 35th.

Gyanodaya, Pravat School and Ganesh School also advanced to the Group G semi-finals. Gyanodaya beat Peace Nepal Academy 1-0 on a 34th minute winner from Sri Maharjan while Pravat coasted to a 3-0 victory over Puspa Kunja Secondary School. Saroj Karki opened the scoring in the 33rd minute for Pravat before Karma Shrestha added another in the 46th and Santosh Kumar in the 56th minute to seal the comfortable victory. Ganesh School sneaked ousted Budhanilkantha Modern Committee Academy 1-0 on a seventh minute goal from Anil Nagarkoti.
