Madhyapur, November 22:

Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya (BSAM) and Bhaktapur English School (BES) entered the final of the first Inter-School Invitational Football Tournament, organised by Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA), today.

In the first semi-final, BSAM came from behind to beat Deep Jyoti 2-1. Kishan Pun put Deep Jyoti ahead in the 41st minute before Raj Kumar Khadka scored the equaliser for BSAM nine minutes later. Surya B Khadka scored the winning goal for BSAM in the 56th minute. BSAM defender Prajwal Thapa was named the man of the match.

In the other match, BES beat Adarsha Secondary School of Sanothimi 2-1. Raju Sinkeman gave BES an early lead in the fifth minute, while Saroj Sipai doubled the lead six minutes later. Hem Magar scored the consolation goal for Adarsha in the 26th minute. Saroj Sipai of BES was named the man of the match. The final is scheduled for Saturday.
