Kathmandu, February 1:

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and photo journalists Sudarshan Ranjit were nominated for the ICC Global Awards. CAN was nominated in the ‘Best Junior Cricket Initiatives’ category while Ranjit was selected for the ‘Photo of the Year’ category, said CAN in a release here on Friday. The Award function is scheduled for March 14.

Meanwhile, CAN announced a 14-member squad for the CC & FC Invitational Twenty20 Cricket Tournament. Binod Das named captain for the February 7-10 tournament to be held in Kolkata.

Other members of the team are Manoj Kumar Baishya (wicket keeper), Paresh Prasad Lohani, Mahaboob Alam, Dipendra Chaudhary, Shakti Prasad Gauchan, Sharad Vesawkar, Manjeet Shrestha, Sanjam Regmi, Pawan Das, Basanta Regmi, Dhirendra Chand, Raju Basnyat and Raj Kumar Pradhan.
