KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 5
The Cricket Association of Nepal roped in IME Digital Solution Limited as the official ticketing partner for Nepal's international matches, here today.
CAN Secretary Paras Khadka and IME Pay CEO Pravin Regmi signed the memorandum of understanding amidst a programme. As per the deal, IME Digital Solution Limited - which acquired the rights to sell tickets for two years - will provide the CAN with a total of Rs 15 million - Rs 7.5 million per year.
"IME pay will levy a service fee of 12.5 percent out of the total sales generated through this partnership and the rest of it will go to CAN's bank account," informed the CAN in a release. Also, the IME Pay will provide 100 ground staff and their families with IME Pay Care insurance packages THT in a bid "to reduce the impact of unexpected situations and accidents." The IME Pay also appointed two national team cricketers Sompal Kami and Karan KC as its brand ambassadors for a year.
CAN Secretary Khadka said the agreement with IME Pay would be helpful in the overall development of the sport.
"We need to host as many international matches as we can in the next two years for sustainable development of cricket," said Khadka. "We are grateful to IME Pay for deciding to make investment in Nepal cricket," he added.
IME Pay CEO Regmi said his company was honoured to get the chance to join hands with CAN. "We are thankful to CAN for providing us with the opportunity to contribute for in the development of cricket," he said. "We are excited to associate our financial inclusion campaign with cricket and players."
