CCRC in last four
Kathmandu, January 21:
Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) entered the semi-finals after their 68-run win over Mahottary Cricket Team at the Twenty20 Open Knockout Cricket Tournament today.
Batting first, CCRC piled on 185-3 before restricting Mahottary to 117-7 in 20 overs. Sovakant Pandey scored 43 off 31 balls and Jaspal BK 18 not out. In reply, Ajay Mandal scored 31 and Prahladh Shah 29 for Mahottary. Suraj Timalsina and Raj Kumar Pradhan took three wickets each.
In another match, Nil David beat Ambition Academy by 45 runs. Nil David scored 162-3 and contained Ambition to 117-7. Man of the match Shakti Gauchan made 61 off 45 balls and Rajan Katuwal unbeaten 50 from 45 balls.
Abhinaya Khatiwada top scored for Ambition with 32 runs. Sanjam Regmi and Shaki Gauchan snared two wickets each for Nil David.
KCC beat Xavier
KATHMANDU: Kantipur City College (KCC) and organising National Campus won their respective matches at the National Campus Twenty20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament. KCC trounced Xavier International by 127 runs and National Campus overcame Hilbert College by nine wickets.
KCC scored 217-3 and dismissed Xavier for 90 runs. Ram Naresh Yadav made 78 from 41 balls and Rajeev Budhathoki 55.
Hilbert were all out for 53 runs in 17.5 overs and National Campus chased the total losing one wicket in 9.5 overs. Sahil Rana completed a five-wicket haul for National Campus.
