Classic College enter quarters

Kathmandu, March 19:

Classic College International (CCI) cruised through the quarter-finals with eight-wicket win over Shepherd College in the Wai Wai fifth KCC Running Trophy Nationwide Inter-college Cricket Tournament here at the Birendra Sainik Awashiya Mahavidhyalaya today.

Electing to bat first, Shepherd were bundled out for a paltry 46 runs in 12.2 overs and CCI surpassed the total losing two wickets in 5.5 overs. None of the Shepherd batsmen could score in double figures. Pratik Sharma top-scored with seven and Ratish Shrestha made six.

Pradeep Airee of CCI took 4-19 from four overs which earned him the man-of-the-match award. Ashok Nath also claimed 3-4 off three overs. Shakti

Bhandari scored 15-ball 12 and Kuldeep Khadka contributed 10 for CCI. Pratik and Ratish bagged one wickets each for Shepherd College.

Capital College and Research Centre will take on British Gurkha College and hosts KCC will face Kathmandu Engineering College on Thursday.
