KATHMANDU: Hosts Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Sainik Mahavidhyalaya won the team championship of the second CoAS Girls Taekwondo Tournament here on Tuesday.

Bijeshwori won six gold medals along with four silvers and one bronze to finish first. Koteshwor Taekwondo Dozang came second with three each gold and bronze, while United Taekwondo Dozang were third with three gold and two silver medals.

SaritaRuwali of Bijeshwori and PushpaBadi of ECDC were named the best players in senior and junior sections respectively. A total of 201 players from 28 schools and dojangs took part in the three-day tournament.

Chief of the Army Staff Gen Purna Chandra Thapa handed over the prizes to the winners.
