KATHMANDU: The government has formed a nine-member high-level committee under National Sports Council Vice-president Lama Tendi Sherpa for the 18th Asian Games.

The committee, formed by the ministerial level decision, will decide the number of sports, players, coaches and officials to participate in the Asiad slated for August 18 to September 2 in Indonesia.

NSC Treasurer Sailesh Karmacharya is the deputy convenor of the high-level committee, while National Team Preparation Director Arjun Bahadur BK, NIS Director Rim Ranabhat, SAN Director Nabin Upreti, National Team Preparation Convenor Birendra Shrestha and Sports Development Department Chief Kul Bahadur Thapa are the members along with two representatives from the Youth and Sports Ministry.
