KATHMANDU: My Second Teacher on Thursday rewarded the Bajaj Pulsar Tri-Nation T20I Series winning national cricket team and four players.

Founder President of Innovate Tech Sulav Budhathoki handed over Rs 500,000 to the national team and Rs 100,000 each to four players - Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Sahab Alam and Kamal Singh Airee - who made their national team debut from the double round-robin series that involved the Netherlands and Malaysia.

Nepal had defeated the Netherlands by 142 runs in the final to win the maiden T20I title and their first trophy at home in 11 years. Bhurtel created world record by scoring three consecutive half centuries in the first three matches of his career and he combined with Sheikh to break world record of the best debutant pair with a stand of 116 runs for the opening stand against the Netherlands in the inaugural match of the tournament.

My Second Teacher, the national team sponsor, had announced the rewards during the series played at the TU Stadium in April.
