LALITPUR: DAV School defeated Api School 2-1 in the second Bilateral Cricket Series in their home grounds on Saturday.

In the three-match series played between the girls’ teams of the two schools, DAV won the first encounter by 43 runs.

Batting first, DAV scored 178-4 in 12 overs riding on Pragya Shree Bishwokarma’s unbeaten 52 runs.

In reply, Api managed 135-3 with Sunima Dangol top scoring with 36 runs. DAV won the second match by 28 runs.

Opting to bat first, DAV scored 162-2 in the allotted 10 overs. Sneha Bang scored 46 runs for DAV.

In reply, Khusi Dangol scored 71 runs not out but Api reached just 135-1.

However, Api bounced back to beat DAV by 14 runs in their last match of the series.

Batting first, Api scored 141-2 in 10 overs riding on Nikita Mishra’s 78 runs. In reply, DAV scored127-4.

Ritika Sharma scored 32 runs for DAV. Api’s Khusi Dangol was named the player-of-the-series.
