Kathmandu, January 20:

Raju Khadka and Mannu Kapoor guided East West to a comprehensive 113-run win over Nava Jagarup Club (NJC) while Raj Mahommad and Bindhu Mandal shone in Mahottary Team’s emphatic win over Style & Subib Cricket Club (SSCC) at the Twenty20 Open Knockout Cricket Tournament here today.

East West made 199-5 and restricted Nava Jagarup to 86 in 17.3 overs. Raju Khadka scored 30-ball 49 and also took three wickets for East West. Mannu Kapoor scored quick 67 off 33 balls for the winners.

In another match, Mahottary scored 165-5 and bowled out SSCC for 60 runs. Raj Mahommad scored 48 from 37 balls and also claimed 3-12 to earn the man of the match award. Bindhu Mandal scored 52.

Classic triumph

KATHMANDU: Classic College beat Kathmandu Valley by 61 runs and CCRC trounced Kist College by 10 wickets in the National Campus Twenty20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today.

Classic made 167-6 and dismissed Kathmandu Valley for 106. Kist made 100 but openers Shovakant Pandey (55) and Pawan Das (36) guided CCRC home in just 8.2 overs.
