Ex captains Clarke, Chappell attend Morris memorial service
SYDNEY: Former test captains Ian Chappell and Michael Clarke were among 200 mourners who attended a public memorial service in Sydney for Australian cricket great Arthur Morris.
Morris, an opening batsman who was regarded as one of the greatest left-handers of all time, was the highest run-scorer on Australia's 1948 Ashes tour to England. He died in August aged 93, leaving 86-year-old Neil Harvey — who was also at the service — as the only remaining member of the unbeaten 1948 team, known as the Invincibles.
Tuesday's service was held in the Members' Stand at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
